Ever wanted to go two-tracking or watch a mud race? There are motorsports events aplenty to enjoy at James Valley Off Roaders. The Buffalo Days Mud Drags coincide with the major summer celebration in Jamestown.
People flock to the Stutsman County Fairgrounds to watch and participate in some good, clean family fun. The James Valley Off Roaders prioritize fair races, with categories for street stock, modified stock, and fully modified mudding vehicles. There are even powder puff mud races for women!
The Frontier Village is a free local attraction that helps people step back into the past. There are original buildings still preserved throughout after relocation from their original settings. Each building features antiques and historical information.

Formerly known as the National Buffalo Museum, the North American Bison Discovery Center cares for two small bison herds. Each herd occupies the land to either side of I-94. Small-scale ranching, with calves sold to other farms and ranches each year, helps preserve the local grasslands.

With roughly 2,095 acres of open water and 45 miles of shoreline, the Jamestown Reservoir is a popular local destination for fishing, boating, and swimming at two sandy beaches. There are seven boat ramps around the reservoir, as well as picnic areas.
On the east side of the reservoir, two miles of paved trails welcome cyclists and hikers. There is an Outdoor Learning Center, as well as the Little Britches Fishing Pond, where young people can hone their skills in a small pond annually stocked with fish.
